A DEMON dozen of city martial arts aces have won the right to represent Great Britain. The 12-strong contingent from the tiny Parkers Serial Kickers club based at Mountsteven Avenue Scouts Hut all came through a demanding three-hour examination with flying colours recently.

And the local stars – including fabulous five year-old Joshua Hogg – will now be involved in a number of big competitions including the World Championships as part of the KTBF Team GB.

Delighted club chief Ian Parker said: "To have so many members of one club in the GB squad is a brilliant achievement. It is wonderful for us and shows what quality we have around here. It is no exaggeration to say they all shed blood, sweat and tears to make it and I am a very proud man.

"Little Joshua is absolutely phenomenal – he has been with me about a year and he has so much potential."

The Parkers stars: Andy White (42), Amy Miles (28), Peter Banfield (18), Dylan Wilson (14), Shannon Parker (13), Holly White (12), Luke Clemenson (10), Hannah Graham (10), Shannon Skingley (9), Jack Hogg (9), Braden Wilson (7), Joshua Hogg (5).
