SNOOKER: Perry safely through World Open qualifier
Joe Perry was a winner yesterday (August 7) in the qualifying round of the World Open at Preston Guildhall.
The Chatteris potter beat Welshman Ian Preece 5-2 after losing the opening frame 62-49.
It was a low-scoring affair with only one break above 50 - that was a 70 by Perry in the second frame.
