Joe Perry breezed into the second round of the new 888.com World Grand Prix in Llandudno today (March 17).

The Chatteris cueman is through to the last 16 of the £300,000 event after beating Leicester’s Ben Woollaston 4-0 and will now meet either Judd Trump or Dominic Dale on Wednesday afternoon (March 18).

Perry compiled the highest break of the tournament so far - a 139 - in the second frame.

The prize for the highest break is £5,000. The winner will collect £100,000.
