Joe Perry’s recent run of fine form continued in Cardiff yesterday (February 16).

The Chatteris potter won through to the last 32 in the Welsh Open with a 4-3 win over Lee Page in the first round and then a 4-0 whitewash of Yu De Lu in the second round.

Against Lee, Perry compiled breaks of 77 and 132 - the third highest in the tournament so far - and against De Lu he made a 65 and 60.

Perry plays Gary Wilson in the third round.
