Wisbech whizzkid George Russell continued his strong points scoring in the FIA Formula 3 European Championships in Holland at the weekend (July 11/12).
Following back to back podium finishes at Spa Francorchamps and the Norisring, Russell secured three top-six finishes at Zandvoort.
On a tight and technical circuit, Russell qualified in the top 10 for all three races despite the fact the entire field struggled to find clear air.
Russell said: “Qualifying was difficult with the traffic. We just could not get the space to get a strong lap in.
“Overtaking proved really difficult for everyone. We made really good starts in all the races which cemented three top six finishes. It was great to have a consistent weekend and plenty of positives to take in to the next round.”
The next round of the FIA Formula 3 European Championship takes place at the Red Bull Ring, Austria on July 31.
