Longthorpe took control of the Hunts & Peterborough Mens Division One title race with a win at Stamford A on Tuesday.

The team of Phil Watson, Marcie Winlock, Glenn Perkins and 15 year-old Jan Ortonowski returned with a 6-2 win to leave Longthorpe as the only team with a 100 per cent record.

The win avenged a recent heavy defeat in the Peterborough & District Hardcourt League.

Longthorpe B also boast a 100 per cent record in Division Two after winning 5-3 at Oakham on Tuesday.

Their winning team was Hans Seeberg, David Stevenette, Mark Nicholas and Julian Evans.

Longthorpe Ladies A team lost their top-of-the-table clash at home to Thorpe Wood A 5-3 on Monday.
