THEY didn't have a recognised goalkeeper and fielded two 40-plus strikers, but Leverington still ended the season in winning style.Anthony Melton grabbed both goals in a 2-1 success at Pinchbeck which was achieved with outfield player Dean Jimson between the sticks.

Boss Wayne Garner, who partnered Angus McDonald in an evergreen attack, said: "We put in a good performance and picked up a good win to end the season. We had a good drink afterwards in Spalding as well and got home about 3am!

"It was a shame my keeper didn't turn up. I have been let down a bit this season by players not being available to play every week."

Lee Marshall cut Pinchbeck's arrears before Gary Piper saw a couple of 'goals' disallowed.
