Under 14: DANE Hammond and Rodney Gilson were both on target twice as Werrington crushed Langtoft in Division One.Lewis Archer, Conor Brennan and Callum McInerney were also on target with an own goal completing an 8-0 win for the joint league leaders.

Werrington sit level on points with Netherton Vultures and last year's league runners-up Wisbech St Mary.

HOPING to join the top-flight party next season are Deeping, who moved up to second in Division Two with a 7-2 win at Glinton Orange.

Laurie Bacon led the way with a hat- trick and there were also goals for Harry Wright (2), Jamie Casey and Tom Skinner.

The result was the perfect response from Pat O'Keefe's side who were looking to bounce back following a 4-1 defeat at the hands of leaders Holbeach the week before.

O'Keefe said: "We created plenty of chances and while we did have to come from behind after shipping an early goal, once we found our range we never looked back.

"It was important to get back to winning ways after last weekend's defeat and this has really kept us in the hunt.

"I think it will be tough for us to stop Holbeach but we intend pushing them all the way if we can and at least secure a top-three finish if possible.

"But playing good football is our number one priority and if the boys keep doing that then we will all be happy."

SAWTRY Blue booked their place in the last four of the Hunts Cup with a 4-1 win against their Yellow stablemates.

Having lost their top-flight status last season, a semi-final spot makes good consolation for Blues who booked their spot against the third flight Yellows thanks to a Tyrel Millwood hat-trick and a goal from Callum Giscombe.

Assistant boss Kevin Conneely said: "The pitch was not great and both teams looked pretty rusty after a lengthy lay-off. And while I think we deserved to win, 4-1 is harsh on the Yellows who battled really well throughout.
