Junior Football: Vicky given a perfect send-off

Under 10A CALLUM Crosby double ensured Crowland manager Vicky Gale bowed out of management on a high after a 2-0 win against Thorney in the Blue Zone.
Gale will vacate the hot-seat after four years in charge and was desperate to end her reign with three points.
And thanks to goals in each half for Crosby it was mission accomplished as the players responded to the occasion in fitting style at Snowden Field.
Gale and her coach Tony Sinclair cleared the pitch of snow so that the game could take place.
"And I am really pleased we did," she said, "as the boys did us both proud in our last game in charge. Winning gave us a lovely send-off.
"I think Nathan Kirk was our man-of-the-match at the back as he made some very good tackles.
"It is slightly sad that I will no longer be involved as I have been with this side since the boys were five or six but during that time they have all done me proud."
Spencer Crosby and Rob Mills will take over as the new manager and coach next season.

KNOCKOUT specialists Wisbech St Mary made it through to the last four of the Junior Alliance League Cup with a comfortable 6-1 win at Holbeach.
Two weeks ago Danny Hughes' side booked their place in the Cambridgeshire County Cup final and few would back against them reaching another showpiece after this devastating display against the Division Three leaders.
A hat-trick for Lewis Clayton and goals for Joe Moore-Papworth, Jake Burton and Ashley Blanchflower ensured Saints are still in line for a cup double.
Hughes said: "We had the edge throughout and in fact it could have been a few more as Harley Kitching and Ryan Brothwell both went close to adding to our total."

ANTHONY Ashmore scored one of the goals of the season to set March on their way to a 3-1 win against Boston in Division Two.
Livewire Ashmore lashed home a thunderbolt after being picked out by midfield maestro David Haselgrave following a sumptuous passing move.
It was Haselgrave pulling the strings again before the interval when picking out Scott Tinnian who beat the offside trap to double the advantage.
And while Boston did pull one back in the second half, Tinnian's successful penalty conversion 15 minutes from time made sure of the points.
The result moves the young Hares up to fifth and according to manager Dave Ransome his young side could be pushing for promotion come the end of the season.
He said: "There are some tough games still to play but if we keep our workrate high and our application right then we can give anyone a game. And if results go our way there is no reason why we can't battle for third place which might even be enough for us to go up."ALL AGES
