Peterborough City Rowing Club had six crews take part in the Huntingdon Head of the River event on the Ouse on Saturday and two returned victorious.
The wins both came in single sculls at an event that attracted 56 crews from 13 clubs.
Ilektra Apostolidou won the Women’s IM2 single sculls by 50 seconds despite normally competing at IM3 level, while Graham Barks won the Masters E single sculls, finishing a minute and a half ahead of clubmate Pete Orme. Orme finished three minutes ahead of his nearest rival.
Ian Davis and Pete Dolby came second in the Masters D pairs, with just six seconds separating them from X-Press BC in first place.
George Wilson and George Bushell entered the Novice double sculls event, but with no open double competitors they were unable to claim a win.
