Peterborough Phantoms have been dealt another serious injury blow.

Recent recruit Mason Webster suffered a fractured elbow when falling into the boards during the club’s training session at Planet Ice on Friday night (January 16).

The 20 year-old forward, who has impressed since being snapped up from lower-level Haringey last month following a successful trial, is expected to be sidelined for at least a month.

Player-coach Slava Koulikov said: “We already have a lot of injuries and unfortunately Mason has now been added to the list.

“We were doing a shooting drill and Mason fell after taking a shot. I would think he will be out for four weeks at least.”

Phantoms have import ace Darius Pliskauskas out with a similar elbow injury while defenceman James Hutchinson continues to be sidelined by a knee ligament problem.
