Peterborough Phantoms defenceman Greg Pick has been handed a seven-game suspension.

Director of hockey Jon Kynaston confirmed the punishment handed out by English Ice Hockey Association (EIHA) disciplinary chiefs today (February 13).

Pick (22) collected game and match penalties for leaving the bench to fight during the club’s stormy 6-2 success over Sheffield Steeldogs at Planet Ice last Sunday (February 8). Previous indiscretions are also understood to have contributed to the ban.

Pick is suspended with immediate effect and will miss more than half of the club’s remaining English Premier League fixtures, starting with a derby trip to Milton Keynes tomorrow (February 14) and a home clash against Basingstoke on Sunday (February 15).
