Deeping athlete Julie Hollman flies to Beijing today (August 11) after spending 10 days at the British team's training camp in Macau.Hollman will compete in the heptathlon which begins on Friday and she can't wait to get started.
She said: "Everything has been going well in Macau. Training has been good, but we had to make a slight change to our rest days as we had a typhoon on Wednesday and we weren't allowed out of the hotel.
"We just had to play games and keep ourselves amused all day. The hotel is great, and everyone is being very helpful and supportive.
"I can't wait to get to Beijing and get settled in.
"I watched the opening ceremony on TV and must say it got my heart racing a bit!
"It will be a big change going to the village because it has been quite relaxed in the hotel and the team atmosphere is great, but I can imagine once you're in the village it will be a reality check and I'll be like 'Oh my god, I really am here!"
