Ragamuffins, a team from hosts City of Peterborough, will be back to defend their Roger Brummitt Mixed Hockey Trophy at Bretton Gate this weekend.

Losing finalists Jurassic Beavers will also take part in the 58th running of the popular annual event.

The reigning champions have been drawn in the same group as their own B team.

Teams from Lincoln and Spalding are also taking part.

Draw

Group A: Jurassic Beavers, Harry Potter and his half cut mates (Lincoln), Sons of Pitches A, Hellies Angels.

Group B: Ragamuffins A, GPO, Inches of Posts, Ragamuffins B.

Group C: Camp Retro, Bourne Again, Trent University, Barely Legal (from Spalding)

Group D: Beavers, Bourne Deeping Dragons, Almighty Ones, Blue Green Zeds.

The top two in each group go on to play in the main knockout event. The bottom two go on to contest a Plate competition.

Teams will also compete for the Jack Rouse Fairplay Trophy.

Action on Saturday and Sunday starts at 10am.

The Plate Final is scheduled for 5pm on Sunday with the Trophy Final scheduled for 5.35pm.

There is also a tug-of-war competition and a 100-yard dash event.
