Hockey preview: City Ladies aiming to halt their losing run
CITY of Peterborough Ladies welcome back Jenny Todd and Claire Pateman as they bid to halt their losing run.
City are yet to pick up a point in 2012 having lost their last four games in the East Women’s League Division One North.
That poor sequence, including defeat against struggling Norwich Dragons last week, means City have now lost half of their 16 games in the league and it won’t get any easier as they host third-placed Watton at Bretton Gate (1pm).
City actually produced one of their best displays of the season in the reverse fixture, skipper Laura Smith scoring in a 1-1 draw.
Jodie Abraham and Eleisha Wightman retain their places in the first-team squad after featuring against Norwich - where summer signing Claire Steels scored twice in a 3-2 victory.
