England call for master Drake again

City of Peterborough veteran Adam Drake has been selected for the England Masters 40s squad for 2015.

Drake was first called up for the team in 2012 and is the only player to have been selected in every year since.

Drake will now compete in the Home Internationals in May, a Test match against Holland and then the European Championships in August.

Drake was recently part of the East Masters 40s side that won the English divisional tournament.

The East won all five matches and scored 13 goals conceding just one.

Biggest winners at the City of Peterborough awards night were Neil Evans and Nicole Duffin who were senior men and ladies players-of-the-year respectively.

Michael Green was clubman-of-the-year and Sam Anderson and Jessica Amps werenamed young players of the year.

Sue Drake, mother of Adam, won a services to ladies hockey prize.
