Golf: High-flying charity given a boost by Thorney Club members

THORNEY Lakes Golf Club has just handed almost £5,000 to the East Anglia Air Ambulance.

THORNEY Lakes Golf Club has just handed almost 5,000 to the East Anglia Air Ambulance.The moneny was raised last year through a variety of events including charity golf days, raffles and the sale of Air Ambulance merchandise.

Area co-ordinator for the high-flying charity, Chris Donaldson, was presented with the cheque (right) last week by club captain Lee Woodward, lady captain Anne Edwards and senior captain John Drury.
