Stuart Brown’s recent run of form continued yesterday (August 3) when he won the Bourn 25th Anniversary Pro-Am.
The Thorpe Wood professional followed up his third-place finish in the big Titleist and Footjoy PGA Championship at The Oxfordshire by sharing victory with Jason Levermore from the Channels Golf Club.
The classy pair handled blustery conditions best to tie at the top with one-under-par 71s. They were the only ones to break par as the wind increased yesterday after a 10am shotgun start at the venue near Cambridge.
Brown began at the 14th and was soon in credit with a couple of birdies through three holes. But he slipped up with bogies at the 17th and 18th before gaining a shot at the par-four ninth hole.
It was Brown’s first success on the East PGA circuit this year.
