TONY Whiting claimed his second Rutland County Senior title in the space of just four years at the weekend.

TONY Whiting claimed his second Rutland County Senior title in the space of just four years at the weekend.Whiting carded a gross score of 86 to take the title by two shots from Bill Collins, Robin Douglas and Tug Wilson. His closest challengers all finished on 88.

While he may have missed out on the gross title, in the nett competition Douglas did manage to come out on top.

His 88 equating to a score of 68 once his 20 handicap had been taken into account, giving him a four shot win over second placed David Wilson while Ken Jakeman finished third with a 72.
