Three Championship clubs and two countries are reportedly chasing Peterborough United top scorer Conor Washington.
The Daily Mail has reported that Wolves, Cardiff City and Birmingham City are monitoring Washington who has 11 goals this season, nine of them in his last 10 matches. Posh would expect a fee in excess of £1 million before they would be tempted to part with the player they signed from Newport in January 2014.
The Mail also suggests that Scotland and Northern Ireland are considering a first international call-up for the 23 year-old striker.
Washington also qualifies to play international football for Scotland through his mother and Northern Ireland through his grandparents.
Northern Ireland manager Michael O’Neill, who has steered his country to the 2016 Euros, watched Washington score a cracker in an FA Cup win over Luton earlier this month.
