It was a game for defenders on the dreadful New Den playing surface tonight (February 28).

Posh battled hard, but created very little as they slipped to a 1-0 defeat to League One play-off rivals Millwall.

Luke McGee: Almost got to the penalty. Otherwise a quiet night in a game when both attacks struggled 6

Michael Smith: The skipper enjoyed a steady, error-free defensive performance. Found it hard to get forward to support his forwards 6.5

Andrew Hughes: Rock solid defensively against the tricky Onyedimna. Played with plenty of passion and drive 7

Michael Bostwick: Won most of his headers against a much taller man. Slotted in seamlessly at the back 7

Ryan Tafazolli: It was an easier game for defenders than attackers and Tafazolli was as dominant as one would expect 7

Anthony Grant: Never got a foothold in the game which was a disappointment. Conceded the soft penalty after taking an age to make a challenge. Substituted 15 minutes from time 5

Brad Inman: Only the odd flash of quality. A difficult game for a ball player though 5.5

Leo Da Silva Lopes: Worked hard in his hour on the pitch. Played with plenty of energy and fight. Sacrificed for second striker 6.5

Marcus Maddison: Terrible night apart from two well-struck set-pieces that required saving 5

Paul Taylor: Very lively first-half which featured one terrific pass to Marcus Maddison. Not so effective after the break, but kept running for the cause 6.5

Tom Nichols: Hardly seen on the ball. Up against two huge defenders and a well drilled defence though 5
