Championship side Millwall are preparing a bid for Peterborough United striker Tyrone Barnett.
Barnett is available for transfer, but Posh will do well to recoup much of the club record £1.1 million transfer fee they paid Crawley Town for his services last year.
Barnett scored one goal last season and was loaned out to Ipswich Town after falling out with Posh manager Darren Ferguson.
Posh Director of Football Barry Fry, the man in charge of transfer negotiations at London Road, confirmed to the Peterborough Telegraph today that he had spoken to Millwall representatives.
Fry said: “I’ve spoken to Millwall manager Steve Lomas and to their chief executive Andy Ambler, but it’s only gone as far as an enquiry. There hasn’t been a bid yet, but they are interested.”
