Bedford, who play in the Southern League central division, were crushed 9-0 by a full-strength League Two Luton Town at the weekend, but kept a clean sheet against a Posh team who fielded senior squad strikers Aaron Williams and Joe Gormley as well as new 18 year-old forward Matty Stevens.

Gormley did strike the woodwork with a header from a Jack Payne corner as did substitute Cameron Stump, but despite enjoying plenty of possession in the stifling heat and humidity.
