McCann said: “Brad just turned with no-one near him and planted his foot. He’s had an operation today. It was about six seconds from the end of the session. It’s devastating for the player and some of the lads have been to see him in hospital to try and cheer him up.
“We played very well in the second-half against Leeds. Pre-season is all about fitness, but it’s always good to win.
“It was a chalk and cheese performance. In the first-half we sat too deep and they found it easy to pick us of. We showed Leeds too much respect. We couldn’t find a pass and ended up going backwards too often

“It was a superb second-half. We got at them and played very positively. Shaq scored two great goals, we defended very well and Chris Forrester got hold of midfield as a good captain should.
“Most of the players got 90 minutes and many of them will get 90 minutes in one of two games we have on Tuesday (July 26).”
Posh send a team to Championship side Brentford on Tuesday, and another team to tackle National League side Lincoln City at Sincil Bank.

Left-back Callum Elder has still to make his mind up on a return to Posh on loan from Leicester. It was thought he might appear in the match against Leeds, but instead played for Leicester in Nuneaton.
McCann added: “We can’t wait forever for Callum Elder. We’ve got other options so we’ll wait another three or four days and take it from there.”
