Teenage talent Harry Anderson scored twice as the Posh Development XI beat Wimbledon 3-0 at Nene Park Academy today (March 9).

Posh fielded a strong side and it showed as they dominated proceedings from the first kick-off.

Erhun Oztumer and Marcus Maddison were in excellent form and both were denied a goal by the Dons’ keeper before Maddison’s cross was slid in at the far post by midfielder Harry Beautyman three minutes before the break.

Anderson, who made his Football League debut against Bradford City recently (February 28), came to the fore after the break scoring with a precise finish following a deep cross and then with an excellent individual goal.

Posh could have had several more goals. Maddison hit a post, while Oztumer (twice), Luke James and substitute Kyle Vassell were all denied by superb goalkeeping.

Posh: Dion-Curtis Henry, Ollie Luto, Robinson, Christian Burgess, Liam Marshall, David Norris, Harry Beautyman, Marcus Maddison, Harry Anderson, Erhun Oztumer, Luke James. Substitutes: Heinrich Ravas, Jack Friend, Ethan Lee, Jonathan Edwards, Dan Keating, Tobi Adebayo-Rowling, Kyle Vassell.
