Reports claim Posh double transfer bid declined

Peterborough United news from the Peterborough Telegraph

Peterborough United news from the Peterborough Telegraph

5.45pm: Sky Sports are reporting that Peterborough United have seen a double-bid for two Stevenage players rejected today (Thursday).

They claim the League One club have shunned the Posh offer for full-back/winger Lawrie Wilson and midfielder Michael Bostwick.

The Sky report suggests that Stevenage value the players at a combined figure close to £1 million but that Posh’s bid fell short of that mark.

Stevenage yesterday confirmed on their official website that they had accepted two bids from Championship clubs for Wilson. He is known to be a target for newly-promoted League One champions Charlton as well as Posh.

Wilson and Bostwick both starred in Stevenage’s rise from non-league into League One.
