Posh opposition view: Jay’s match-saving goal is something to crow about

BURNLEY assistant boss Jason Tindall praised Posh for their first-half display, but insisted his side did enough after the break to win a keenly-contested contest.

In the end the in-form home side required a superb individual goal from top scorer Jay Rodriguez three minutes from time to claim a point from a 1-1 draw.

“When you have players of the quality of Jay in your side you always have a chance,” Tindall claimed. “It did look like it wasn’t going to be our day, but Jay has popped up with a stunning goal and that was no more than we deserved.

“I felt we should have won. You have to give credit to Peterborough for the way they played in the first half and they were the better side.

“But at half-time, even though we were behind, we felt we had a good chance of winning and we were excellent in the second half.

“We created enough chances to have won comfortably. They defended well by getting good blocks in, but we dominated to such an extent I felt we deserved to win.

“It was important we got something from the game though to keep our little run going. We’re nicely in touch with the top six and we’re playing well enough to expect to stay there.”

McCann is not interested in tackling anybody. Surely you have noticed by now. As a creator he is ok but as an out and out defender he is rubbish.

Dream on Mr Tindall. Although if you give your forward the scope just to breeze through the oppositions defence like they were non existent I suppose it looked a wonder goal like you said and the papers. It was a joke.
