The last remaining unbeaten record in the United Counties League Premier Division came to an end last Saturday.
Huntingdon tasted league defeat for the first time since April - a run spanning the final five games of last season and their opening 11 outings of the current campaign - when going down 3-0 at Desborough.
And their city-based boss Seb Hayes pulled no punches in his assessment of a disappointing display.
He said: “You can get away with two or three of your players having an off-day, but not 13 of the 14 we used.
“I’ve got no complaints about the result and we were lucky not to get more of a spanking.”
