Stones beaten in friendly clash

BLACKSTONES beat the big freeze on Saturday.

The local side travelled to reigning United Counties League champions St Neots Town (who now play their football at Evo-Stik Southern Division One Central level) for a friendly.

St Neots have a 3G pitch that was passed fit for action and they beat Stones 4-1. Luke Hunnings scored the Stones goal.

Two other local sides, Stamford and Holbeach, had to shelve plans for a friendly at a 3G facility in Sleaford when it was declared unfit.
