Perfect 10 is the Tigers’ target tonight

Holbeach boss John Chand is out to point his side towards a 10th successive league win tonight.

Holbeach boss John Chand is out to point his side towards a 10th successive league win tonight.

Holbeach United are bidding to stretch their 100 per cent start to the United Counties League Premier Division season into double-figures tonight (October 10).

The Tigers will be chasing a staggering 10th straight victory when entertaining Boston Town in a Lincolnshire derby date at Carters Park (7.45pm).

Boss John Chand could hand a debut to new signing Robert Hughes. The midfield ace, a Premier Division runner-up in the past two seasons, has arrived from King’s Lynn.

But Holbeach are likely to be waving farewell to fellow midfield man Andy Toyne after tonight’s fixture. Toyne’s loan spell from local rivals Spalding United, where he is under contract, comes to an end and is not expected to be extended.

Blackstones are chasing the rataher more modest target of a second successive victory in another all-Lincolnshire affair tonight.

The Stamford outfit, who lost 10 successive matches ahead of a weekend win at Quorn, entertain Sleaford at Lincoln Road.
