Spalding United have today (October 12) been handed an excellent home draw in the fourth qualifying round of the FA Cup.

If Spalding beat Sporting Khalsa in a third round replay at the Sir Halley Stewart Field tomorrow (October 13, 7.45pm kick-off) they will host either FC United of Manchester or Buxton on October 24. Win that tie and ‘The Tulips’ will be in the draw for the first round proper with League One and Two clubs including Peterborough United.

FC United of Manchester - one of the best supported non-league clubs in the country - play in the National North Division, while Buxton are a top six Northern Premier Division side. Their replay takes place on Wednesday (October 14).

Spalding drew 1-1 at Sporting Khalsa on Saturday (October 10). Josh Moreman fired them in front inside 60 seconds before the home equalised in the 91st minute from the penalty spot.

If Spalding win tomorrow, they’ll bank £7,500 in FA prize money and if they win their fourth qualifying round tie, they’ll land £12,500 and as well as a coveted place in the first round proper.
