Blackstones reached their first county final since 2011 when beating higher grade Boston Town 2-1 in the semi-final of the Lincs Senior Trophy last night (January 20).

UCL Premier Division side Boston took the lead 10 minutes before the interval through Ryan Parnell before Sam Strange hauled Division One Stones on terms a quarter-of-an-hour from time.

The decisive moment arrived after 87 minutes when Boston defender Michael Wood conceded a penalty and was sent off. Dan Evans scored the spot-kick to take Blackstones into a final against Winterton or Barton.
