NON-LEAGUE FOOTBALL: Star pick up their first win of the season

Peterborough Northern Star picked up their first points of the season in the ChromaSport & Trophies United Counties League Premier Division last night (August 17).

Raf Mazarella’s side, beaten in their first two matches, were 4-1 winners at Boston Town. Joe Papworth, Jake Sansby, Erik Makate and Jezz Goldson Williams got their goals.

There was also a win for Holbeacah. They beat Sleaford 4-2 with goals by Stuart Eason (2), Jake Clitheroe and Matthew Warfield. Eason’s brace came before he was sent off for receiving two yellow cards.

In last night’s other Premier Division game, Huntingdon Town lost 4-0 at home to Newport Pagnell.
