Blackstones went goal-crazy in a ChromaSport & Trophies United Counties League fixture last night (September 23).
The Stamford side smashed a very young St Neots Town Saints team 13-1 and now boast the second best goal difference in Division One.
It took just two minutes for Calum Parker to open Blackstones account and further goals quickly followed from Jordan Avis after six minutes and Dan Evans after 12.
Addie Staffieri scored the next two and Jack Salt made it six after just 33 minutes.
George Berkes replied for Saints with a great free-kick just before half-time.
Jones De Sousa scored the first second-half goal after 52 minutes and it took until the 70th minute for Avis to take the home tally to eight.
Stones then added five more goals to their total in the last 10 minutes with Staffieri taking his tally to four and Sam Strange and Giuliano Staffieri also adding their names to the scoresheet.
Parker ended the game as he started it with a 90th minute goal to complete the rout.
In the first round of the Hinchingbrooke Cup between competition newcomers Oakham and Netherton, the city side were pipped 2-1.
Against the run of play, Oakham took a 27th minute lead through Ben Easson.
A minute into second-half stoppage time Netherton deservedly levelled with a low shot into the bottom left-hand corner from Dwayne Rankin.
However, there was still time for Oakham to strike the decisive goal three minutes into added time with new recruit Gavin Cooke expertly curling a 20-yard free-kick around the defensive wall into the bottom right corner.
