Non-League football coverage from the Peterborough Telegraph - peterboroughtoday.co.uk/sport

Peterborough Northern Star will launch their next FA Vase adventure on home turf.

The city club enjoyed a brilliant run to the quarter-finals last season in their first crack at the national competition.

They enter this season at the second round stage and will entertain Dunstable Town at Chestnut Avenue. The Bedfordshire team, once managed by Posh Director of Football Barry Fry, are top of the Spartan South Midlands Premier League.

Wisbech Town also enter at this stage and face a tasty trip to United Counties League Premier Division table-toppers St Ives, another team who reached the quarter-finals last season.

Deeping have been handed a home tie against Staffordshire outfit Norton United while Spalding are away at Oadby Town.

All ties will be played on Saturday, November 17.

Second round draw (local ties): Oadby Tn v Spalding, Deeping v Norton Utd, Northern Star v Dunstable Tn, St Ives v Wisbech,

FA Vase odds: 66/1 Wisbech, 80/1 Northern Star, Deeping, Spalding.
