A blistering start enabled Wisbech to move up to fifth in the United Counties Premier Division with victory at Eynesbury last night (December 9).
Danny Beaumont and Tommy Treacher both scored in the opening seven minutes to set the Fenmen on the way to a 4-1 win.
Beaumont scored his second goal before half-time and Jacob Smith netted on his Wisbech debut after Eyensbury had pulled a goal back in the 85th minute.
The win took Wisbech above Huntingdon and Peterborough Northern Star into the top five. They have games in hand on all of the sides above them in the table.
Huntingdon host Division One side Rothwell Corinthians in the Hinchingbrooke Cup tonight (December 10, 7.45pm kick-off).
