Joint boss Seb Hayes is relishing the job of rebuilding the Peterborough Northern Star squad this summer.
Hayes and fellow chief Domenico Genovese are in the process of assembling a new-look set of players at the Mick George Arena following a raft of summer departures.
Only a couple of members of the team which started their Hinchingbrooke Cup final triumph over Deeping in the last game of the 2014/15 season now remain at the club.
But the Star managerial duo have wasted no time in bringing in a number of new signings of their own headlined by former St Ives Town duo Luke Smith and Hayden Bream, and one-time Posh youngster Jacob Joyce.
Defender Smith made on appearance for Star last season while Bream finished the campaign with the city club and impressed with some all-action midfield displays.
Striker Joyce has worked under Hayes to good effect in the past at Huntingdon also had a spell at local rivals Yaxley last season.
Hayes said: “The process of building a new squad has actually been very enjoyable.
“We are sad to see a number of players leave the club as they were superb for myself and Dom after we took charge in February.
“However, we appreciate them making early decisions about where they are going to play football next season and giving us plenty of time to put our own group of players together.
“Things are taking shape very nicely and we are delighted to have brought in a lot of players who have already featured for us in the past, or who have been watched several times in recent weeks.
“We have a great mix of players from Step 7 to Step 4 levels and I’m confident they will gel as a squad very well.
“The chairman has given us his vision of what he wants to see at Star and it is up to us as a management team to put it in place.
“We’re under no illusions that we face a tough challenge next season, but it is also an exciting one and we cannot wait to start working with the players at pre-season.”
Star have also snapped up a number of promising talents from the Peterborough & District League Premier Division.
Midfielder Ben Panting and striker Craig Smith have both arrived from Stilton while Netherton man Harry Fitjohn is set for a switch across the city.
Highly-rated midfielder Sam Murphy became the latest player to leave Star when agreeing a move to higher-level Spalding over the Bank Holiday weekend. Star will retain his UCL registration.
Yaxley have made another high-profile capture by signing central defender Stuart Wall.
They have persuaded him to drop two levels from Southern League Premier Division side Histon.
Peterborough Sports boss Jimmy Dean has handed centre-back Mark Cox a return following a spell out of the game.
The two men were team-mates at Northern Star a few years ago.
Deeping Rangers have drafted in attacking player Scott Coupland from fellow Lincolnshire club, Sleaford. He scored 20 times in the UCL Premier Division last season.
Holbeach boss Darren Jarvis has been reunited with another of his former Northern Star players.
Winger Kieron Davies, who also played for Jarvis at Blackstones, joined the Tigers this week.
