It wasn’t a great day in county cup competitions for Peterborough Youth League sides.

Of the four teams involved only Peterborough Northern Star Under 16s made further progress.

They won through to the next round of the Northants Cup after a 6-5 penalty shoot-out success at Rushden & Higham. The game finished all square at 2-2 after extra time.

In the same competition Malborne Under 16s came a cropper at home to ON Chenecks, losing 4-0.

In the Under 18 Northants Cup, Werrington Athletic were beaten 13-2 at Kettering Ise Lodge Hawks, while March Saracens Under 16s were on Cambs County Cup duty and crashed 6-1 at home to Waterbeach Colts. Bradley Dilloway scored a late consolation goal.

After two double-figure wins on the trot in cup competitions, the bubble burst for Yaxley Lynx Under 15s . They lost 1-0 to Pinchbeck in the League Cup with Joshua Lawrence scoring the goal.
