Northants opened their Midland Counties Youth Championship with a hard fought draw against Worcestershire at Bromsgrove FC.

Matt Pinder of AFC Rushden & Diamonds equalised for Northants just before half-time after the home side had taken the kead with a controversial penalty.

Billy May of Peterborough Northern Star was the only city player involved.

Peterborough Northern Star host the next Northants game against last year’s champions Leicestershire & Rutland, on Sunday, October 11 (2pm kick-off).
