Oakham United are back on top of the Peterborough Premier Division.

Oakham secured a crushing 5-0 win at Sawtry on Saturday (March 7), while previous leaders Caotes Athletic were being held to a draw again by Netherton United.

Coates and Netherton drew 4-4 at The Grange last month and it was 1-1 at Feldale Field at the weekend. Dwayne Rankin fired the city side ahead, but Liam Harrold quickly equalised for Coates who are now one point behind Oakham having played a game more.

Robbie Dance (2), Lewis Leckie, Adam Rothery and Sven Hart scored for Oakham.

Stilton have emerged as dark horses for the title. They are third with games in hand on the top two following a 3-0 home win over Holbeach United Reserves. Craig Smith scored all three goals for Stilton.

Andy Wayte’s goal was enough for fourth-placed ICA Sports to beat Uppingham Town and Daniel Ramm scored the only goal of the game for Peterborough Sports Reserves against Moulton Harrox.

Conor Pridmore’s strike ensured back-to-back wins for Thorney, this week at the expense of Langtoft United.

Crowland are off the bottom after battling to a 1-1 draw at Pinchbeck United. Leverington replace them at the foot of the table after losing 2-0 at Riverside where Joshua Kamau and Liam Hutchings scored the goals.
