FC Peterborough have completed a promotion and cup-winning double in their first season as a Peterborough League club.

The city side have finished second to AFC Stanground Reserves in Division Five and beat Division Four outfit Stanground Sports 1-0 in the Chroma Sport League Shield Final at PSL yesterday (May 10).

An accurate strike direct from a free kick from Kammy Khan secured victory 10 minutes before the break. A Stanground player was sent off after conceding the crucial set-piece.

The match was played as an appetiser for the the President’s Shield Final later in the day. Premier Division champions Oakham United won that final, beating Netherton United 5-0.
