The Under 15 Division One title race in the Peterborough Youth League took a significant twist at the weekend.

Leaders Eye United came unstuck 4-2 against Yaxley Lynx, who have now emerged as strong title favourites.

Matthew Dale, Jordan Harris, Liam Sanderson and Harry Whittington fired Lynx to victory and they have closed the gap on Eye to eight points with three games in hand.

Also in the mix are Deeping Rangers Blue, who beat Hampton 11-0 on Sunday. They now trail Eye by just two points.

Elliott Ramsden scored a hat-trick in their big win with other goals coming from Reece Driscoll (2), Conor Burd, Ryan Cotterell, Will Mann, Joshua Smith, Scott Waumsley and Joseph Hussey.

March Soccer School won the big game in Under 15 Division Three. The leaders beat closest rivals Thorney 4-2 thanks to strikes by David Matos (2), James Monaghan and Daniel Waltham.

March Saracens are five points clear at the top of Under 16 Division Three after Harry Davey and Archie Murfitt clinched a 2-1 win over Glinton Black.
