SOME of the finest attacking talent in local football was on show in a 13-goal Peterborough Sunday Morning League Premier Division thriller.

Premier Decorators powered to a 7-6 success over Parkway in a sizzling Werrington shoot-out.

Kevin Holt hit a hat-trick (despite operating as an emergency left-back) and Rob Trevor enjoyed a two-goal debut for the victors.

Ciaran Holt and Lewis McManus hit the other goals to ensure Chris Bartlett’s men pocketed the points.

“You only had to look at the two teamsheets to know there would be goals in the game,” said Bartlett.

“We’ve got some excellent lads and Parkway have Jamie Graham, Stuart Eason, Ian Bradbury and Chris Brown in their side.

“We are also a bit light defensively so I told my lads to go out and score more goals than Parkway - and that’s the way it turned out.

“There were some really good goals among the 13 as well and both teams seemed to enjoy themselves.

“That’s what Sunday morning football should be about.”

Graham hit a hat-trick for Parkway. His haul included a penalty but he probably didn’t enjoy seeing a second spot-kick saved by Decorators keeper Kev Tree later in the contest.

Bradbury and Eason also struck for Parkway.
