Two junior football teams from Peterborough are on their way to Wembley.
The Feeder Soccer Under 8 and Under 10 teams will be making their way to Wembley on November 14 after beating other teams in a regional heat of the Indesit National Mini Soccer Cup to win their places at Finals Day.
The Indesit National Mini Soccer Cup has returned for a second season after a hugely successful inaugural competition last year, which saw 140 teams and over 1,200 kids take part.
The mixed Mini Soccer Cup competition for under 8s and under 10s is run in association with Indesit’s partners FourFourTwo, Powerleague and Mums In The Know.
Ian Hutchings, manager for Feeder Soccer Under 10s, commented: “The team are ecstatic to have won their place at Wembley and we’ll certainly be training hard to make sure we lift the trophy in the shadow of Bobby Moore’s statue at Wembley Stadium.”
Feeder Soccer Under 8 manager, James Brattan, added: “Both teams from Feeder Soccer had such an enjoyable day at the Indesit National Mini Soccer Cup and we can’t wait to play at Wembley on Finals Day in November. Both parents and the junior footballers will be in for an action-packed day and it really gives the team something to work towards.”
