The Jack Hogg Memorial Shield match - the traditional Peterborough League curtain-raiser - takes place at Yaxley FC tonight (July 22, 7.30pm).

Reigning Premier Division champions Moulton Harrox will take on PFA Senior Cup runners-up Langtoft United with all proceeds going to charity.

PFA Senior Cup Final winners Whittlesey Athletic have not been invited to take part as they won promotion to the United Counties First Division at the end of last season.

Moulton’s regular team this season will feature several changes from their title-winning line-up. Billy King (Whittlesey Athletic), Ian Bradbury (Whittlesey Athletic) and Johnny Clay (Deeping Rangers) have all moved up a level, while top scorer Ollie Maltby has made a sideways move to Premier Division rivals Pinchbeck United.

Manager Dave Panton has also quit Moulton because of work commitments.
