Peterborough Northern Star hot-shot Nathan Rudman was the hat-trick hero as his team reached the Under 13 PFA Cup final on Sunday.

The city side overcame Glinton and Northborough Amber 4-3 in a thrilling semi-final and Rudman’s treble took his tally for the season to a remarkable 67 goals from 18 games.

William Palmer was also on the scoresheet for Star .

Hampton beat March Rangers 4-1 in the other semi-final thanks to goals by Zachariah Findley (2), Atif Khan and Liam Catton.

Wasps Blue meanwhile took a massive step towards claiming the Under 13 Division One title when they smashed table-topping King’s Lynn 6-2.

Conor Bell hit a treble and Tychique Muendo, Taylor Horne and Liam Taylor were also on target for Wasps, who now trail Lynn by six pointswith four games left to play. Lynn have completed their fixtures.

Star are also on course to win the Junior Alliance Under 13 9v9 League. They are top with an impeccable 14 wins from 14 games.

Netherton have moved up to second - level on points with Star - after a 7-1 win at Wittering on Sunday but they have plyed one more game. Star of the show for them at Wittering was Sulaiman Saleem, who grabbed five of their goals.

Under 14 Division One title favourites Deeping made it a a marvellous 15 wins from 15 games with a 7-1 hammering of Gunthorpe. Nathan Pickering scored a hat-trick to make it 52 goals in 19 appearances.

Voyager Under 14s were pipped 1-0 by Burton Park in the semi-final of the Northants County Cup.

Two Ethan Young goals saw One Touch beat Feeder 2-0 in the semi-final of the Under 11 League Cup.
