St Thomas More School won the annual Youth Dreams Project Football Cup at The Grange, Netherton, last week beating Hampton Vale in the final.

Newark Hill took the Plate Competition honours with Fourfields runners-up.

A total of 16 teams took part in the event, which was sponsored by Fisherprint and Werrington Traditional Fish & Chips.

Posh manager Dave Robertson and Barnet FC’s Michael Gash watched the tournament and selected their player of the tournament.

The individual awards were won by the following:

Top Scorer - Jack Turner (Hampton Vale)

Best Goalkeeper - Ali Mustafa (Hampton Vale)

YDP Best Player - Sidney Pereira (St Thomas More)

Michael Gash Best Player - Jayden Kasimiero (Hampton Hargate)

Dave Robertson Best Player - Jack Turner (Hampton Vale)

Youth Dreams Project is run jointly by former Posh goalkeeper Luke Steele and Luke Kennedy.
