Ferguson pleased with comeback at Carlisle

DARREN Ferguson praised the never-say-die attitude of his players after Saturday's thrilling 3-3 draw at Carlisle.Posh trailled 3-1 with half an hour to go and 3-2 with a minute remaining, but top scorer Craig Mackail-Smith's double strike rescued a precious point.
Ferguson said: "We've come from behind several times this season so I knew we weren't out of the game at 3-1. These players never know when they're beaten and they proved it again.
"I felt we were playing Carlisle at a good time because they have been in poor form, but we were very poor as a team for the first 25 minutes and then we had a crazy couple of minutes in the second half when we conceded two goals.
"Amazingly we had enough chances to win the game. Craig Mackail-Smith missed a great chance at the start of the second-half and if that gone in we would have won the game.
"But we kept going and in the end it was a good point as it kept our own little run of form going. "
Posh are now unbeaten in seven League One matches, but the weekend comeback was marred by a recurrence of a shoulder injury for defender Shane Blackett which could keep him out of action for three months.
Blackett dislocated a shoulder following a collision in injury time. It was popped back in at Carlisle hospital, but Posh will now insist the shoulder is pinned.
Ferguson added: "I know it is not my fault he got injured, but I really wish I hadn't put him on.
"I really feel for the lad because he wasn't 100 per-cent, but I spoke to him at length and he really wanted to be involved even though there was an element of risk
"But his shoulder now needs pinning and that means he faces three or four months out."
Posh acted quickly to cover for Blackett's absence by signing left-back Craig Braham-Barrett from non-league Welling United for a reported fee of 10,000.
Braham-Barrett (20) impressed in a Posh reserve team match against Watford last week. He started his career at Charlton.
Posh needed cover for Tommy Williams as Jamie Day has already been ruled out for the season with a back injury.
Posh now face a run of seven matches against teams currently in the bottom nine of League One starting with the visit of Brighton to London Road tomorrow.
Matches then follow against Huddersfield (home), Crewe (away), Hereford (home), Yeovil (away), Colchester (home) and Swindon (away).
