Ladies Invitation Day at Elton Furze proved to be a big success with 36 players taking part from clubs across the area.

Ladies Invitation Day at Elton Furze proved to be a big success with 36 players taking part from clubs across the area.And it was a team containing two local players who took top honours at the fourball Am Am stableford competition.

Elton members Anita Cordery and Sue Pawson were joined by Margaret Butt from Orton Meadows and Sally Wormall to make what proved to be the winning team.

The quartet amassed 90 stableford points, the same mark as the second-placed team of Wendy Lodder, Dot Franklin, Krysia Bell and Jean Cameron, who just missed out on countback.
