TEENAGE talent Alfie Potter insists he should not be forgotten in the race for a place on Posh's right wing. All the talk has been about the scrap between big-money buy Sergio Torres and Chris Whelpdale for the spot in Darren Ferguson's side when the new season gets under way next month.
But Potter has thrown his hat into the ring on the back of some impressive friendly outings in the early weeks of the club's pre-season programme.

He found the net in their Marbella friendly against Rochdale before scoring one and creating another when a Liverpool XI were swept aside 4-1 at London Road on Saturday.
And the player who shot to fame when scoring for tiny Havant & Waterlooville in an FA Cup tie at Liverpool last season is determined to continue his Posh emergence.
Potter said: "I went out on loan three times last season and did a lot of growing up. Hopefully I can get myself playing regularly here this season.
"I have seen Sergio play and it is clear he is a quality performer while Chris Whelpdale was excellent for us last season, but it looks like he might be playing at right-back now.
"But I am ready to push them both all the way because I really want to make my mark.
"I'm 19 going on 20 and feel this is the time I need to start playing regular football if I am going to go a long way in the game.
"I have a couple of years left on my contract and I want to do enough in that time to earn another deal."
Potter added: "I struggled to get involved in the first half against Liverpool but once I got into it, I felt I got stronger and stronger.
"I was pleased to get a goal and set another up against Liverpool because I want to show the fans here what I'm about.
"I'm working hard in training every day and doing a lot in the gym to get stronger."
Potter laid on Aaron Mclean's opener against the Liverpool XI and then scored the second goal himself.
He is in line for another appearance at Stevenage Borough tonight (7.45pm) with Torres still overcoming a summer foot operation and fellow new recruit Russell Martin having a slight ankle knock.
Boss Ferguson said: "We know what Alfie can do. He might not be the biggest, but he has good skill and can definitely change a game."
Potter also had stints at Grays Athletic – where he only made one appearance – and AFC Wimbledon last season.
Stevenage were beaten 3-1 by Championship side QPR at Broadhall Way on Saturday.
